| Description: | Our client, a leading Operations and Maintenance company within the Renewable Energy sector has a current requirement for an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to work on site in Inverary, Argyll. The successful applicant will be required to carry out simple and complex repairs on turbine units including in-depth fault finding & maintenance. You will be expected to supervise sub contractors and act as a technical specialist on the maintenance of the wind turbines. Responsibilities include: • Carrying out planned maintenance / inspection activities including turbine repair. • Carry out complex repair-processes in collaboration with the Local Service Coordinator. • Fault finding on all associated systems including generators, gear boxes & hydraulic systems. • Fill in reports and checklists in order to comply with all H&S regulations and keep the Service Manager up to date on all progress. • Supervision of less experienced wind turbine technicians Applicants will be qualified to HNC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and MUST have experience in this role gained whilst working for a utility, wind turbine supplier or O+M contractor. You must be happy to work at heights and open spaces as you will be climbing the turbines and using harnessing equipment. You must be physically fit to be considered for this role.
